About the Role Are you an emerging marketer ready to build your career through meaningful, hands-on experience? We're looking for someone proactive, curious and motivated to join a collaborative marketing team where you'll contribute to real campaigns and initiatives, work across a broad mix of channels and stakeholders, bring ideas to the table and build your experience along the way. As a Marketing Assistant, you'll help make campaigns and initiatives happen. You'll coordinate activity, prepare and update marketing materials, manage creative assets and work with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to keep projects moving and ensure work is delivered accurately, on time, to brief and in line with Curtin's brand, accessibility and quality standards.
This is a supportive early-career opportunity for a current student with relevant experience, a recent graduate, or someone in the early stages of their marketing career who is ready to take initiative, contribute ideas and follow work through, while continuing to learn and grow.
Your responsibilities will include
- Contribute to the delivery of marketing campaigns, content and communications initiatives across digital, social media, web, print and other channels.
- Coordinate content schedules, marketing assets, project documentation and campaign records to help keep activity organised and on track.
- Work proactively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to support the successful delivery of marketing initiatives.
- Create, format and update marketing materials, website content and digital content, ensuring it is accurate, engaging, accessible and on brand.
- Undertake quality checks, campaign tracking and basic reporting, and identify opportunities to improve campaign effectiveness and processes.
- Bring ideas to the table that improve the prospective student experience, strengthen brand consistency and support better marketing outcomes.
- Build your marketing knowledge and experience through hands-on contribution, collaboration and career development.
Who we are looking for/Selection Criteria: We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Relevant study, qualifications or early-career experience in marketing, communications, digital media, content, or a related field.
- Some practical experience in marketing, communications, content coordination or administrative support, gained through employment, internships, placements, volunteering or study projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to work with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks, manage deadlines and follow work through.
- A proactive, curious and motivated approach, with the initiative to contribute ideas, solve problems and get involved.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, quality, accessibility and brand consistency.
- Good digital skills and an interest in digital marketing, content creation, social media, web and creative communications.
Role Requirements
- As this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role.
