The opportunity

If you're an experienced business services accountant who's ready to step into a leadership role, and you'd like to do it somewhere you're properly looked after, this one is worth a good look.

We're a growing firm with several service lines across business services, tax and advisory. Our clients range from large and complex right through to small local businesses, which gives our team far broader exposure to interesting technical work than you'll find in most firms. It also means you can shape your portfolio around the kind of work you enjoy most.

This is a senior role with real influence. You'll manage your own portfolio, lead a capable and well-established team, and work closely with the directors on how the practice runs and grows. For the right person there's a transparent path to equity partnership over time, if that's what you're after. If it's not, that's fine too. What matters most to us is finding the right person.

We also mean it about balance. You won't be expected to stay back late for the sake of appearances. If you do stay late, you'll probably have the office to yourself, because flexibility and a sensible life outside work are things we actively encourage.

About you

CA or CPA qualified

At least 8 years' experience in business services accounting within Australian public practice, ideally across a broad range of clients

Full working rights in Australia

Strong technical knowledge across business services, tax and advisory, and the person your colleagues turn to for the tricky ones

A natural leader with a track record of managing your own portfolio and mentoring other accountants, who brings out the best in the people around them

A warm, confident communicator who builds trust easily with clients

Someone who'll fit a friendly, high-performing and down-to-earth team

What's on offer

Salary of $150,000 to $180,000 plus super, based on your experience
