About the Opportunit y
As Senior Manager ACT, you will provide visible, values-led leadership across a diverse regional portfolio, translating Wellways' strategy and purpose into meaningful outcomes for participants, people and communities. You will lead with a strong understanding of local community needs and service gaps, creating a culture of responsiveness where lived and living experience, participant voice s and community perspectives inform how we deliver and continually improve our services.
You will lead for service excellence, quality and sustainable outcomes, ensuring our programs meet funding, contractual and regulatory obligations while remaining focused on what matters to participants and communities. Working collaboratively across Wellways and with government, community and sector partners, you will build trusted relationships that strengthen service integration,
community connection and our ability to respond to emerging needs.
You will identify and progress opportunities for service development, funding, growth and innovation, considering the impact and sustainability of these opportunities for participants, employees and communities. You will lead through change and complexity, supporting leaders to navigate transformation with confidence, while working with risk to enable positive outcomes and making sound, timely decisions that support our purpose.
As a steward of Wellways' resources, you will provide strong financial and operational oversight, ensuring budgets, resources, governance and compliance support organisational priorities and sustainable services. Through visible and connected leadership, you will foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, inclusion, wellbeing and continuous improvement, bringing leaders and teams together to thrive as one Wellways team and beyond individual program or service silos.
Travel and a strong presence across the region are essential to building genuine relationships, supporting leaders and staying connected to participants, local communities and the services we deliver.
About You
You are an experienced, values-led leader who combines strategic thinking with solid operational focus. You have a proven track record leading diverse services, programs or portfolios, developing high-performing leaders and teams,
and building trusted partnerships that deliver positive outcomes for participants, communities and the organisation.
You bring demonstrated experience translating strategy into action, driving service improvement and identifying opportunities for growth and innovation. You build collaborative relationships with government, community and sector stakeholders, using influence to strengthen outcomes and community impact.
Your lea dership approach is grounded in participant-centred practice, inclusion, cultural safety and the meaningful integration of liv ed and living experience. You stay connected to community needs, to ensure Wellways continues to respond to changing environments. You create spaces where people feel valued, supported and empowered, with diverse perspectives contributing to stronger decision-making and service delivery.
You have confidentially led teams through change , demonstrating sound judgement, resilience and adaptabili ty while maintaining focus on performance, wellbeing and quality outcomes. Strong financial stewardship underpins your approach, with experience managing budgets, resources and organisational priorities effectively.
An effective communicator and relationship builder, you foster accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement whil e supporting others to achieve their potential. Above all, you demonstrate a genuine commitment to Wellways' values and purpose, leading with compassion, inclusivity and a deep belief in community, participation and social change.
