Description
Our MBCP program provides specialised support to men who use violence against woman, children and their immediate family. This role requires a well-rounded knowledge, understanding and experience in the family violence sector that will support the MBCP program.
The MBC Practitioner is responsible for providing direct service provision to men who have uses violence and abuse in their intimate and family relationships. This will include assessment both in a group context and individually, facilitation of the 20-week MBC Program, Individual reviews with clients and some case management.
Skills And Experiences The candidate we are looking for is someone who has:
- Demonstrated experience working with adults using gendered violence.
- Experience and understanding that MBCP is victim survivor led.
- A commitment to ending violence against woman by working with men who use violence against them.
- A passion and belief around the effectiveness of behaviour change.
- Teamwork is viewed as a necessity to the success of the work we do.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent self-reflective skills and practice.
