About the Role
Livlor Group is seeking an experienced and qualified Motor Mechanic (General) to join our team in Tullamarine.
This is a full-time permanent position for an experienced mechanic who is confident in diagnosing faults, carrying out mechanical repairs, servicing vehicles and maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.
## Key Duties and Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines, vehicles and associated components.
- Inspecting and testing engines, transmissions, steering systems, suspension and other mechanical components.
- Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions and other vehicle components as required.
- Repairing and replacing worn, damaged or defective mechanical parts.
- Reassembling engines and mechanical components following repairs.
- Performing scheduled maintenance and servicing, including oil changes, lubrication, tune-ups and general vehicle maintenance.
- Diagnosing and testing vehicle systems using computerised diagnostic equipment and other workshop tools.
- Testing and adjusting repaired mechanical components to ensure correct operation and performance.
- Identifying additional repairs or maintenance required to ensure vehicles are safe and roadworthy.
- Following manufacturers' specifications, technical information and service manuals when undertaking repairs.
- Maintaining accurate records of servicing, repairs and parts replaced.
- Ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to a high professional standard.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
- Complying with workplace health and safety requirements and company procedures.
## Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must be able to complete the following:
- A relevant Certificate III, Certificate IV or equivalent qualification in Automotive Mechanical Technology or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Motor Mechanic or in a closely related mechanical role.
- Demonstrated experience in vehicle servicing, fault diagnosis, mechanical repairs and component replacement.
- Strong knowledge of engines, transmissions, steering, suspension and other automotive mechanical systems.
- Experience using computerised diagnostic equipment and modern workshop tools.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical problems accurately and carry out repairs efficiently.
- Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
- Experience in heavy mechanical, heavy vehicle or similar mechanical work will be highly regarded.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
