Occupational Therapist / Rehabilitation Consultant Are you looking for an opportunity to broaden your skills in occupational health, treatment and workplace rehabilitation? Are you looking for the autonomy of a sole practitioner whilst still being supported by a broader team?
Coal Services is looking for an Occupational Therapist / Rehabilitation Consultant to join our CS Health team, supporting the health, wellbeing and recovery of NSW coal workers, their families and communities.
This is a outstanding opportunity for an Occupational Therapist who enjoys a mix of case management, workplace-based assessments and rehabilitation consulting, while working closely with workers, employers and other key stakeholders to support safe and sustainable return-to-work outcomes.
We’re open to candidates looking for either permanent or 12-month contract arrangements, across our Woonona and Newcastle locations.
About the role: In this role, you’ll provide occupational therapy and workplace rehabilitation services across a varied caseload. Your work will include, but not limited to:
Case management and return-to-work planning
Activities of Daily Living (ADL) assessments and reporting
Workplace assessments, task analysis and job demand assessments
Functional Capacity Evaluations
Liaising with workers, employers and other stakeholders throughout the rehabilitation process
Providing education and preventative health initiatives
Supporting projects and other occupational health services as required
Maintaining accurate and timely client records and documentation The role includes regular travel to customer sites,
workplaces and CS Health locations across NSW, with some overnight travel required.
About you
Your education, knowledge and skills will include: Experience in delivering rehabilitation consulting services and workplace assessments and task analysis (essential)
Experience in delivering ADL assessments including prescription of basic equipment and home modifications
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with workers, employers, insurers and treating practitioners
Strong report writing, organisation and time management skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Good computer literacy and ability to manage competing priorities
Ability and willingness to travel regularly across NSW, including overnight travel A collaborative approach and commitment to working effectively as part of a team
