As an Outpatients Clerical Coordinator at Nepean Hospital, you will play a key role in managing the administrative services that support effective, patient-centred and accessible outpatient care.

In this role, you will coordinate administrative resources, optimise clinic operations, maintain high standards of data quality, and support compliance with NSW Health, Local Health District and Ambulatory Care Services requirements. You will also contribute to improved patient access, service performance,



activity-based funding outcomes and revenue integrity through effective workforce coordination, clinic utilisation, performance monitoring and continuous service improvement.

What you will bring to the role

1. Relevant qualifications in administration, such as a Certificate III or IV in Health Administration, Business Administration or a related field,



or equivalent experience working in a healthcare administrative setting.
2. Demonstrated experience supervising and coordinating administrative staff within a busy healthcare setting, including managing workloads, supporting staff development and maintaining service standards.
3. Demonstrated experience in the management and coordination of outpatient services, including clinic scheduling, referral pathways, waiting lists, patient administration systems and billing processes.
4. Demonstrated ability to review service activity, identify issues and contribute to improvements in administrative processes, patient flow and service delivery.
5. Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and respond effectively to changing operational requirements.
6. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships and work collaboratively with clinicians, managers, staff and external agencies.
7. Demonstrated experience using patient administration, reporting and business systems, including iPM, Microsoft Office applications and other relevant NSW Health systems.
8. The ability to use initiative and problem-solving skills when managing operational issues and responding to patient, staff and service requirements.
