About the role

You will be working with a dynamic team to uplift the WHS documents, evaluation of current controls and will support the implementation of enhanced safety protocols, as well as ensuring best practice across the organisation. Working closely with leaders in the business, you will provide advice and support on all People and Culture functions, including recruitment, awards, employe relations and work health and safety.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

- Undertake a review of SANE’s WHS systems and processes, providing a report on current state and proposing quality improvement activities.
- Support People & Culture activities across the employee lifecycle, including employee relations,



recruitment, onboarding and performance processes as required.
- Provide high quality, accurate advice to managers in relation to award interpretations, ER matters and employment life cycle activities
- Monitor organisational compliance with WHS Policy and procedures, through regular reporting and auditing.
- Lead WHS hazard and incident management processes, including reporting, consultation, investigations, corrective actions and trend analysis.
- Coordinate workplace risk management activities, including physical and psychosocial hazard identification, consultation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of control measures.
- Provide expert WHS advice, coaching and support to leaders and employees as required.
- Prepare and analyse WHS, wellbeing and workforce metrics to support organisational decision-making and continuous improvement.

About You

- Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Work Health and Safety, Business, Psychology or a related discipline
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent
- At least 3 years’ experience in a generalist People & Culture role with significant responsibility for WHS, wellbeing and compliance initiatives.




- Strong knowledge of contemporary WHS frameworks, risk management principles and psychosocial health and safety requirements.
- Highly developed interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships across all levels of an organisation.
- Ability to apply flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
