ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the General Manager – Environment, as the Principal - Environmental Approvals, you will lead the development and delivery of environmental approvals across State and Federal jurisdictions, supporting the successful delivery of our projects.

You will develop approval strategies aligned with business objectives, provide expert technical advice, and work closely with Traditional Owners, government agencies and other stakeholders to navigate regulatory requirements and achieve effective approval outcomes.

You will also oversee external consultants and specialist work packages, provide input into contracts, and report on progress, schedule and budget, while contributing to broader environmental initiatives across the business.

ABOUT YOU

- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or a related discipline.
- Project Management certification or qualification is desirable.




- Demonstrated experience in preparing and delivering complex State and Federal environmental approvals, including EIS, major amendments and Federal referrals.
- Strong understanding of relevant environmental legislation, particularly the EP Act and EPBC Act.
- Strong technical writing, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience managing external consultants, specialist work packages and stakeholder relationships.
- Robust communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including working with government agencies and Traditional Owners.
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to respond effectively to changing business needs.
