- Support and mentor fellow investigators, sharing your clinical knowledge and research expertise;
- When required, step into a Sub-Investigator (SI) capacity to provide continuity of medical oversight during periods of leave or unavailability of other designated/primary Principal Investigators.

About you:

You are a confident and collaborative medical practitioner with sound clinical judgement, a strong commitment to participant safety and an interest in advancing medical knowledge through high-quality clinical research.

You will bring

- Current AHPRA registration with a minimum of 5 years’ post-registration experience;
- Previous experience working in clinical research in a Principal Investigator or similar senior clinical role;
- Fellowship qualification (preferred, but not essential);
- A recognised medical specialty is advantageous, but not mandatory;
- Current ICH GCP certification;
- Current ALS 1 certification, or a willingness to obtain this;
- Robust clinical judgement, decision-making and communication skills;
- The ability to confidently lead, collaborate and make sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced research environment;
- Professional Indemnity Insurance (may be arranged by CMAX depending on contract type);

- A commitment to completing and actively contributing to our internal CMAX PI School training program.

Why CMAX?
