ACCOUNTANT – FULL TIME

Salary: $80,000 per annum + superannuation

The Breakthrough Office is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Accountant to join our Sydney team.

The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the company’s financial reporting, accounting, budgeting and compliance functions.

Key Responsibilities::

- Prepare financial statements, management accounts and periodic financial reports
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and financial records
- Prepare and review bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow reporting
- Monitor revenue, expenditure and overall financial performance
- Prepare and assist with BAS, GST and other taxation-related reporting requirements
- Analyse financial information and provide reports and recommendations to management
- Review accounting processes and assist with maintaining appropriate internal financial controls
- Ensure financial records and reporting comply with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Liaise with management,



external accountants, auditors and other relevant stakeholders as required

Skills and Experience

- Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or a closely related field
- Relevant professional experience in an accounting role for minimum 2 years.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience with financial statements, reconciliations, budgeting and management reporting
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Competency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a skilled team
