Looking for a meaningful role where you can make a real difference?

Waminda is seeking a Program Support Worker to join our Bulwul Balaang Team, supporting culturally safe, trauma-informed, and community-led programs for young women across the Shoalhaven. The role supports program activities, client engagement, transport, administration, community events, and service coordination.

About the role

As a Program Support Worker, you’ll play an important part in helping young women access support, participate in programs, strengthen connections, and achieve their goals. You will:

- Support group programs, activities, workshops and events
- Build positive relationships with young women and community members
- Assist clients to access services, appointments and referrals
- Provide transport where required
- Help create safe, welcoming and inclusive spaces
- Support administration, scheduling and record keeping
- Work alongside a passionate team dedicated to empowering young women and strengthening community wellbeing.

Who we’re looking for

- Has excellent communication and people skills
- Is confident, organised and reliable
- Enjoys working both independently and as part of a team
- Is compassionate, respectful and non-judgemental
- Wants to build a career in community services, youth work, social support, or related fields
- Is committed to culturally safe, trauma-informed practice and continuous learning.

Skills and experience

- Experience engaging and building positive relationships with young women
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- An understanding of trauma-informed and gender-responsive practice




- The ability to advocate for and support young women experiencing complex challenges
- A relevant certificate qualification, relevant experience, or a combination of training and practical experience.

Essential Requirements

- Current NSW/ACT Driver Licence
- Working with Children Check & Working with Vulnerable People Check
- National Criminal Record Check
- A relevant certificate qualification, relevant experience, or a combination of training and practical experience.
- Female identified position
