Our Information
Management & Technology (IM&T;) team is seeking Information Officer on a 12-month maximum term basis. Purpose:
The purpose of the Information Officer role is to support service delivery across all Council services, by:
facilitating the flow of requests from customers to all service delivery units across Council provide service support for internal customers using information applications provide support to external customers accessing Council online services ensuring efficient and compliant management of Council information and record holdings.
About the role: Manage the incoming flow of electronic correspondence from the community and customers of Council, performing triage and assessment of each request to determine its urgency and sensitivity and clarifying any details as required with the customer.
Register documents to the required quality standard in the document management system and route to the appropriate Business Unit for further action.
Maintain customer identification name and address records including facilitating login details to Council online systems and resolving issues with external customer access to services.
As part of a rotating roster, monitor the Information Management (IM) support ticket queue and either action the request or escalate to an appropriate officer for further follow up; and manage walk in customer requests for service at the IM service point.
About you: Knowledge through Certificate IV in Records Management, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience that provides equivalent knowledge.
Ability to effectively use customer, records and information management software applications commonly used in local government.
Ability to manage a combination of process and support tasks to deliver customer focused support services.
Knowledge of the concepts of records and information management and how they would apply to local government. Further information:
