About Banksia Bakehouse

Banksia Bakehouse is a much-loved bakery focused on producing exceptional baked goods and creating a warm, welcoming experience for every customer.

We’re looking for an experienced and energetic Retail Manager to lead our front-of-house team and help take our retail operation to the next level.

About the Role

As Retail Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the bakery’s retail operation. You’ll lead and support the team, maintain high service standards, drive sales and ensure the store is presented at its best every day.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys being on the floor, working with people and creating a great customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, coach and motivate the retail team
- Oversee daily opening, closing and store operations
- Deliver exceptional customer service and build strong customer relationships
- Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness and food safety
- Manage staff rosters, breaks and day-to-day team requirements
- Monitor sales, wastage, stock levels and ordering
- Support the team during busy service periods
- Train new team members and develop existing staff
- Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally
- Work closely with the bakery/production team to ensure smooth daily operations
- Identify opportunities to improve sales,



service and operational efficiency
- Help create a positive, energetic and inclusive workplace culture

About You

You’ll be a confident people leader who enjoys hospitality and takes pride in delivering an outstanding customer experience.

We’re looking for someone who has:

- Previous experience in a retail, hospitality or café management role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills
- A hands-on approach and willingness to lead by example
- A genuine passion for quality food and hospitality
- Strong attention to detail and presentation
- The ability to remain calm and positive in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with rostering, stock control and team training
- A proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership
