Job Responsibilities

- Act as an extension of clients’ in-house legal teams
- Provide high-quality, responsive and practical commercial legal advice
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, including supply, distribution, services, sponsorship and licensing agreements
- Advise on general commercial matters, corporate governance and regulatory compliance issues
- Advise on Australian Consumer Law and Privacy Law
- Manage multiple client matters simultaneously across different business cultures and working styles
- Build relationships with in-house counsel and key business stakeholders
- Support supervision, training and development of junior lawyers and graduates
- Participate in business development initiatives, including client events, webinars, sales meetings and conferences

Requirements

- Admitted to practise on an unrestricted basis in Australia
- At least 4 years’ post qualification experience in private practice and/or in-house
- Strong technical expertise in drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements
- Experience advising on general commercial and regulatory matters across diverse industries
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with highly sophisticated clients
- Practical, solutions-focused mindset with strong commercial acumen




- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within a high-performing team
- Interest in mentoring and supporting the development of junior lawyers and graduates
- Current Australian Legal Practising Certificate
- Full work rights in Australia
