The Role:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary English Teacher to join our team in a Full-Time capacity on a Fixed Term contract for the remainder of 2026, with the potential to be extended. A teacher willing to foster an engaging, innovative, and inclusive learning environment that equips students with essential skills for the future. Experience teaching Engineering would be favourably considered.





This role will involve teaching English to students in Years 7-9, and to students in Years 11, for Essential English. Including knowledge and experience in QCAA.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement an effective and engaging curriculum for Years 7-11 students.
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages curiosity, innovation, and problem-solving skills.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Foster a culture of respect, inclusivity, and teamwork amongst the students
- Support and mentor students participating in English-related extra-curricular activities, competitions, or projects.

Selection Criteria:

- Hold current registration with Queensland College of Teachers.
- Hold recognised tertiary qualification in Education or similar.
- Have experience in teaching Secondary English.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and the community.
- Be committed to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Have knowledge and experience with V9.0 Australian Curriculum
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and energetically within a energetic organisation.
- Possess self-motivation, creative endeavour and a willingness to accept responsibility.
- Outstanding professional presentation and manner.
- Be committed to one’s own continued improvement through professional learning.
