The AO6 Senior Cabinet Officer reports to the Manager, Cabinet and Parliamentary Services, providing high-level Cabinet-related and parliamentary services to the Minister and the Director-General.

The Role The AO6 Senior Cabinet Officer provides high level quality assurance of complex and sensitive correspondence and briefing documents and effectively manages workflow systems and processes to ensure deadlines are clearly identified and met in a complex and specialised workplace.
This includes reviewing, editing and formatting Cabinet submissions, Executive Council minutes, appointments to portfolio bodies and parliamentary business in accordance with whole-of-government guidelines and departmental protocols and standards.
The AO6 Cabinet Officer also provides high level advice and assistance to customers and stakeholders on parliamentary business procedures, requirements and obligations including the type of approvals required for specific business outcomes and timeframes.
About You
There are no mandatory requirements however it is highly desirable to have:
- Experience working in a CLLO role or office; and
- Adaptability to work within a significantly fast-paced and demanding working environment.
Due to the nature of the role and the requirement to be available to the Minister's Office, flexible work locations are not available however other forms of flexibility may be negotiated.
