Founded by the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research (Perkins), Linear has Western Australia’s only dedicated early phase clinical trials facilities located in Nedlands and Joondalup where we focus on early phase clinical trials across a broad range of therapeutic areas.
The position is full-time and based at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Nedlands.
Your Role in Our Future
Our Laboratory team are looking for two Senior Laboratory Technicians to join the team on a full-time basis playing a key role in the day-to-day operation of our laboratory facility, supporting the Leads to ensure laboratory activities are well coordinated, and
the laboratory is sufficiently staffed. Additionally, this role provides strong technical insights and expertise to the multifunctional project team; and is responsible for training and mentoring junior staff to perform all required laboratory activities across all
Linear laboratory sites
You will spend your time;
- Serve as the primary contact for stakeholders and support the team in the absence of Laboratory Leads.
- Coordinate the day-to-day running of the laboratory and support clinical trial activities.
- Process and manage biological samples in line with study requirements and quality standards.
- Prepare trial documentation and laboratory materials to ensure studies run smoothly.
- Train and support junior laboratory staff and contribute to team development.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies and compliance with safety and quality procedures.
Your Experience The ideal candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate the following;
- Previous experience working in a laboratory ideally within the clinical trials or pathology field.
- Excellent organisational skills with solid attention to detail.
- The ability to resolve problems, use initiative and prioritise workload in a dynamic environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders across the organisation.
- The ability to support colleagues with training and managing their workloads effectively.
