Senior Legal Secretary

- Adaptable start & finish working hours + annual leave 20 days + additional flex leave (up to 18 days per year)

Classification grade: Clerk Grade 3/4

Salary: $87,199 - $95,482 p.a. base salary (employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading is paid in addition to the base salary.)

Work type: Full-Time – 35 hours per week

Work location: Our primary place of work is located at 252 Pitt Street, Sydney.

About the role The Crown Solicitor’s Office is creating a talent pool for future Senior Legal Secretary opportunities. Apply now to be considered for suitable Clerk Grade 3/4 vacancies as they arise and build your career supporting the delivery of high-quality legal services to the NSW Government.

This is an chance for experienced legal secretaries and administrative professionals to register their interest in future roles supporting Practice Group Leaders, solicitors and legal support teams within one of the NSW Government’s leading legal service providers.

As a Senior Legal Secretary, you will contribute to the efficient delivery of legal services by coordinating correspondence and incoming legal-service requests, managing diaries and legal files, preparing high-quality documentation, supporting billing processes, and helping to prioritise and allocate work across a busy legal practice group.

Successful applicants may be placed in a talent pool and considered for suitable ongoing or temporary vacancies as they arise, subject to business requirements. Placement in the talent pool does not guarantee an offer of employment.

- You have excellent communication and negotiation skills to manage the expectations of solicitors.

- Experience in leading a small team.

Please note that some Practice Groups at the CSO work on sensitive and potentially confronting matters, such as historical child abuse cases and coronial inquests. We have procedures in place to minimise exposure to such material, as well as thorough training to help employees manage these situations. Furthermore, we provide a strong employee assistance program for counselling and ensure support is available from supervisors and team members.
