Working Arrangement: Hybrid / Flexible Office & WFH
Contract: 12 months up to 2 × 12-month extensions
Hours: Up to 40 hours per week
Security Clearance: Current Baseline Security Clearance required
Level: Senior / EL1 equivalent
SkyDB is seeking an experienced Senior Power Platform Software Engineer for a long-term Australian Government opportunity supporting the continued development of a major digital services portal. This is a hands-on senior engineering role combining Microsoft Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Power Pages, Azure and full-stack software development.
The successful candidate will join a small, high-performing multidisciplinary project team, working closely with business and technology stakeholders to design, develop, integrate and enhance digital services.
About the Role You will join an established portal development program focused on delivering a digital-first approach to maritime regulation, improving customer experience, streamlining business processes, strengthening data capability and enabling more efficient delivery of regulatory services.
The portal has been developed internally and continues to expand as additional digital services and capabilities are introduced.
This prospect requires someone who is comfortable working across the full technology stack — from Power Platform and front-end development through to .NET, APIs, Azure integrations and CI/CD.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and enhance solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse and Power Platform.
- Develop and maintain customer-facing solutions using Power Pages.
- Build modern front-end functionality using JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML and CSS.
- Develop and integrate front-end applications using frameworks such as Vue.js.
- Build backend services and application functionality using C# and .NET.
- Design and consume REST APIs, JSON-based services and SQL data solutions.
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with Azure services and enterprise systems.
- Develop solutions using Azure Functions, Logic Apps, API Management and Power Automate.
- Work within established application architectures, development patterns and reusable component frameworks.
- Contribute to application design, code quality, testing and technical documentation.
- Use Azure DevOps, source control and CI/CD pipelines to support reliable software delivery.
- Troubleshoot complex application and integration issues.
- Collaborate closely with developers, architects, business teams and other delivery specialists.
- Contribute to continuous improvement across development practices, architecture and reusable solutions.

Relevant Microsoft certifications across Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Azure or AI will also be highly regarded.

Security Requirement A current Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance is required.
Candidates who do not currently hold Baseline clearance will not be considered for this opportunity.
Working Arrangements The role is Canberra-based, with flexible office/WFH arrangements available.
Candidates outside the ACT may be considered; however, Canberra/ACT-based candidates are strongly preferred.
