In this role, you will play a critical part in operationalising predictive spatial models to enhance threatened species assessment, refine survey requirements, and support evidence-based implementation of the Biodiversity Offsets Scheme (BOS). You will lead the integration, evaluation, and translation of complex ecological modelling into operational policy, guidance, and tools used by assessors and decision-makers across NSW.

You excel at bridging the gap between rigorous ecological science and practical policy implementation, translating complex spatial data into robust, user-friendly tools and operational guidance.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

and handling complex biological datasets.
- Robust working knowledge of the Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM) threatened species survey frameworks, and NSW environmental legislation.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing executive-level briefings, complex scientific reports, and stakeholder guidance.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing technical priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes within state policy frameworks.
- A collaborative approach to working across multidisciplinary teams, building productive relationships with internal specialists, scientific bodies, and external stakeholders.
