Senior QA Automation Engineer | Melbourne | Hybrid

Two days per week in the office

I’m partnering with a growing technology business to hire a QA Automation Engineer who combines strong automation skills with sound testing judgement and the confidence to challenge release readiness.

You’ll be embedded in a collaborative engineering team, working closely with developers and product colleagues from discovery through to release. Your input will help shape what gets built, how it’s tested and whether it’s ready to reach customers.

The role

- Build and maintain automated tests using Cypress.
- Investigate defects, explore edge cases and identify quality risks early.
- Carry out software and hardware testing, with training provided on the hardware.
- Own verification activities and produce clear, traceable test evidence.




- Contribute to product discussions and push back constructively when quality standards haven’t been met.

What we’re looking for

- Proven hands-on experience in test automation.
- Strong testing fundamentals, attention to detail, and a curious, critical approach.
- Experience with Cypress.
- Clear communication and confidence working closely with engineering and product teams.
- Ownership of testing outcomes and the judgement to know when a release needs more work.

You'll have meaningful ownership, exposure to software that interacts with physical devices, and the chance to contribute to products focused on patient and customer outcomes.
