About the Role
n
Based in Cairns, this role offers the opportunity to lead the delivery of commercial HVAC projects across Queensland and surrounding regions.
n
As the HVAC Site Supervisor, you will oversee site installation, commissioning, testing, quality assurance, and project documentation, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
n
Working closely with customers, subcontractors, suppliers,
and project teams, you will coordinate site activities, drive project outcomes, and provide hands‐on leadership throughout project delivery.
n
This prospect is ideal for an experienced HVAC Technician, Refrigeration Mechanic, Electrician, Leading Hand, or Site Supervisor looking to progress their career with a market‐leading organisation.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Lead and coordinate HVAC installation, commissioning, service, and maintenance activities across project sites
n
- Manage site labour, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve project milestones safely and efficiently
n
- Monitor site productivity and ensure project schedules and delivery targets are met
n
- Conduct site inspections and audits to maintain safety, quality, and compliance standards
n
- Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, plant, and site resources to support project execution
n
- Provide hands‐on leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to site personnel
n
- Support commissioning, testing, defect resolution, and project handover activities
n
- Ensure all works comply with customer specifications, company procedures, and quality assurance requirements
n
- Maintain accurate reporting, project documentation, and site records
n
- Identify and proactively resolve technical, operational, and site‐related issues
n
- Contribute to project performance by balancing customer, commercial,
and operational requirements
n
- Champion a strong safety culture and lead by example in all site activities
n
n
About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
n
Essential
n
n
- Mechanical Trade Qualification (HVAC/Refrigeration & Air Conditioning) or Electrical Trade Qualification
n
- Minimum 5 years' experience within the commercial HVAC industry, ideally across installation, construction, retrofit, or project delivery environments
n
- Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, construction methodologies, and site‐based project delivery
n
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, subcontractors, and project activities
n
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
n
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and building strong client relationships
n
- Current Driver's Licence
n
- Construction White Card
n
- Passion for safety leadership, hazard identification, and continuous improvement
n
n
Desirable
n
n
- Previous Site Supervisor, Leading Hand, or Team Leader experience
n
- Experience delivering commercial HVAC construction or retrofit projects
n
- Exposure to Building Management Systems (BMS) and controls technologies
n
- Experience with AutoCAD, BIM, Microsoft Project, or Visio
n
- Additional industry certifications including Working at Heights, EWP, First Aid, or similar
n
