Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten is looking for a passionate and experienced Centre Chef to join our Huntly Viewpoint service.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established service and play an important role in supporting the health and wellbeing of the children attending our centre through nutritious, delicious meals.

This is a permanent Monday to Friday role with no nights or weekends. The position will commence at 37.5 hours per week.

The Prospect

As Centre Chef, you’ll take ownership of the daily kitchen operations at Huntly Viewpoint, ensuring children receive fresh, nutritious and delicious meals each day.
You will:

- Plan and prepare daily meals including breakfast, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea
- Cater for dietary requirements including allergies, intolerances and anaphylaxis
- Develop balanced and nutritious menus aligned with early childhood nutrition guidelines
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and compliance




- Manage stock ordering and work within budget guidelines
- Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised kitchen
- Build positive relationships with educators, children and families
- Contribute to a positive food culture within the service
- Take pride in maintaining and developing effective kitchen processes

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate and Safe Food Handling certification
- Previous experience working as a Chef, with early childhood experience highly regarded
- Strong understanding of dietary requirements, allergies and food safety
- Ability to independently manage a kitchen from end to end
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Current Working With Children Check
- First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification, or willingness to obtain
