Job Details
- 4-6 week agency contract
- 24 September or 22 October 2026 starts available
- $1000 bonus! all you have to do is complete a min 6 week contract
- Up to $84.98 per hour AM rate, plus other shift penalties depending on your experience and level
- Fully furnished housing provided at no cost
- Return travel provided
- Uniform provided

You will be based in Alice Springs Hospital which is a public hospital serving the Central Australia region.
Alice Springs Hospital Maternity is a 16 bed antenatal postnatal ward with 4 births suites. Averaging 65-70 births a month no one day is ever the same. MAT provides a woman centred approach to maternity services to women from rural and remote communities in Central, Barkley, APY Lands and remote WA, and have diverse specialties including diabetes in pregnancy and multicultural midwifery in rural Australia.
The Location
You will be living in Alice Springs which is the hub of the Northern Territory! The perfect base to explore central Australia from.
Nestled between the East and West MacDonnell Ranges, ‘Alice’ is famous for its beautiful desert landscapes,
colourful outback characters, opportunities for adventure and a strong Aboriginal culture.
To be eligible for this position you must:
- Be currently registered with AHPRA with no restrictions
- Have a minimum of two years recent Midwifery experience
- Have all Nursing core competencies complete or the willingness to complete prior to your commencement
