An excellent opportunity has become available for an Assistant Accountant to join a diverse and established organisation with operations spanning employment services, education, psychology services and property investments.

Joining a finance team of approximately 12, you will work closely with the Finance Manager and broader accounting team, supporting month-end while gaining exposure across several different areas of the organisation.

The Role
Your responsibilities will include:

- Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Preparing accruals, journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Completing bank and general ledger reconciliations.
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
- Supporting BAS and cash flow management.
- Investigating discrepancies and expenses against budget.
- Gaining exposure to property and investment accounting.

About You
You will ideally have:

- Approximately 2 years' accounting experience,



either in commercial accounting or public practice.
- A completed accounting or finance degree.
- Some exposure to AP or AR or a valuable understanding of transactional accounting.
- An interest in commencing or currently completing CA/CPA.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- A confident, personable communication style.
