The Prospect
As Sustainability Business Partner, you will play a key role in advancing Adbri's Group decarbonisation roadmap and broader sustainability objectives. You will bring analytical rigour and strong stakeholder engagement skills to help identify opportunities, inform investment decisions and enable sustainable operational performance.
You will provide technical expertise in greenhouse gas emissions, decarbonisation and broader sustainability performance, supporting emissions forecasting, reporting, business case development and the evaluation of sustainability improvement opportunities. Working within the Climate and Sustainability team and closely with Operations, Engineering, Strategy, and Finance teams, you will help translate ambition into real-world impact.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Developing and maintaining greenhouse gas emissions models to support forecasting, target setting, emissions reduction planning and business decision-making.
- Supporting ongoing monitoring of the Group decarbonisation roadmap, including initiative tracking, emissions abatement forecasting and benefits realisation.
- Contributing to greenhouse gas reporting and Australian climate-related regulatory obligations.
- Identifying and evaluating emissions-reduction, circularity and wider sustainability opportunities across the business.
- Preparing technical assessments and business cases that support investment prioritisation and operational improvement.
- Supporting climate-related risk, opportunity and transition planning activities through analysis, modelling and stakeholder engagement.
- Monitoring emerging climate, sustainability and regulatory developments and communicating relevant implications to business stakeholders.
- Identifying opportunities to improve sustainability processes, tools, systems and stakeholder engagement approaches.
- Developing and delivering training, guidance and awareness programmes that build sustainability capability across the organisation.
What You'll Bring
- Tertiary qualification in Process Engineering, Sustainability or a related discipline.
- 5-10 years' experience in operations, engineering, decarbonisation, or a related field.
- Experience with greenhouse gas inventories, emissions reporting and/or climate-related initiatives.
- Advanced quantitative analysis, data interpretation and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to translate technical information into practical, commercially relevant recommendations.
- Experience developing business cases, investment proposals or operational improvement initiatives.
- Experience within manufacturing, construction materials, resources, energy, infrastructure or industrial sectors will be highly regarded.
