About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Economics & Accounting Teacher to join our HASS Faculty. Working collaboratively with a dynamic team of dedicated educators, you will deliver high-quality Business curriculum, with a particular focus on Economics and Accounting across Years 11 and 12, as well as Business Education in Years 9 and 10. You will inspire students to develop deep subject knowledge, critical thinking and inquiry skills, while supporting them to achieve robust academic outcomes.

The role also involves preparing students for external examinations and requires knowledge of QCAA accreditation and QCE processes, including Endorsement, Confirmation and External Marking.

This role includes responsibility for student safety and wellbeing, requiring compliance with the College's Child Safe Standards, policies and procedures, and all relevant legislative and duty of care obligations.

This is a permanent full-time position commencing in 2027.

About you

- Relevant tertiary teaching qualifications majoring in Economics, Accounting or Business.
- Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT).
- Demonstrated experience teaching Senior Economics and/or Accounting.
- Ability to plan and deliver exceptional teaching and learning programs that meet the needs of students in Economics, Accounting, Business and Humanities according to ACARA and QCAA.
- 5 years' teaching experience preferred, or experience at Senior Teacher level.
- Experience and knowledge in preparing students for external examinations.
- Commitment to QCAA accreditation in QCE processes, including Endorsement, Confirmation and External Marking.
- Passion for quality teaching and learning, with the ability to create a challenging environment that promotes strong student engagement and academic outcomes.
