The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated Upper Primary Teacher to join the team at Mary MacKillop Memorial School in a temporary replacement capacity. As a member of our teaching team, you will play a key role in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment where students are challenged, supported, and inspired to achieve their personal best.

The successful applicant will work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver engaging learning programs aligned with the Australian Curriculum and contribute positively to the life of the school community. This role offers an chance to work within a vibrant, student-centred environment that values faith, learning, and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities include

- Actively support and promote the Catholic identity and Josephite charism of Mary MacKillop Memorial School.
- Design, plan,



and deliver high-quality teaching and learning programs aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
- Use assessment and data to inform teaching practice and meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Develop differentiated and inclusive learning experiences that maximise engagement and achievement.
- Create a positive, safe, and supportive classroom environment that encourages student growth and participation.
- Employ effective behaviour management strategies and restorative practices that promote student wellbeing.
- Establish and maintain collaborative and supportive relationships with staff, students, and families.
- Assess, record, and report student achievement using required systems and processes.
- Participate in ongoing professional learning and contribute positively to team planning and school improvement initiatives.
- Support students to develop personal responsibility, resilience, and positive wellbeing through trauma-aware and inclusive practices.

About You

We are seeking someone who:

- Demonstrates a commitment to the Catholic ethos and Josephite charism of Mary MacKillop Memorial School.
- Holds current Teacher Registration in South Australia.
- Has sound knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and contemporary pedagogical practices.
- Creates highly engaging and inclusive learning environments that cater for diverse student needs.




- Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills when working with students, families, and colleagues.
- Works collaboratively as part of a professional team while also showing initiative and independence.
- Has an excellent understanding of restorative and trauma-aware approaches to student wellbeing and behaviour support.
- Is energetic, positive, and committed to fostering high expectations and quality outcomes for all learners.
