Teaching Service Position Information Richmond Public School is a semi-rural environment with students representing a wide range of social-economic backgrounds. Richmond is a school with approximately 317 students. The school has 13 classes, which includes two Opportunity Classes (OC) and one Multi-Categorical (MC) Support Class. The school caters for a wide range of needs and learning abilities. Most classes are formed into Stage groups to maximise student learning.

Richmond Public School is a Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) 'School of Excellence' promoting strong wellbeing programs that highlight the positive behaviour of students within the school.

Specific Selection Criteria 1.



Approval to teach Special Education and/or experience teaching students with Autism, mild and moderate intellectual disabilities, complex challenging behaviours and mental health needs, with a strong commitment to student wellbeing and passion for inclusive education.

- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver differentiated, data-informed literacy and numeracy programs that use explicit teaching, evidence-based practice and high expectations to improve academic, social, cultural and behavioural outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and differentiate quality Individualised Education Plans, Student-Tailored Risk Management Plans and Personalised Learning Pathways for students with complex needs to empower student voice, independence, learning and wellbeing.
- High-level interpersonal skills to effectively communicate across all stakeholders within the school context, including students, staff, parents/carers, external agencies and the wider community, to build and enhance a culture of inclusivity across the school.

Conditions An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
