Teaching Service Position Information Chifley College Bidwill Campus is a comprehensive 7-12 campus in Chifley College, located in Western Sydney on the land of the Darug people. We share our site with Bidwill Public School and Bidwill Preschool, giving us a uniquely family oriented, community atmosphere and culture. A support unit is also part of our school. Current enrolment is approximately 720, which has been steadily growing over the last five years. Approximately 39% of students are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and approximately 45% of students are Pasifika.

Our Support

Unit caters for the needs of 80 students, across 8 classes, including students in Stage 6. We focus on fostering a culture of high expectations and a shared commitment from all members of our school community to wellbeing, engagement, learning and success in and beyond school.



We provide quality education that enables our students to develop attributes and skills to achieve their full potential and to succeed in their chosen post–school pathway.

Our school is committed to Choice Theory as a guiding principle. All teaching and learning programs, and all wellbeing initiatives, are designed to reinforce these values and support students in their social, personal and academic growth.

Staff are committed to working together as a cohesive and collaborative team. The three strategic directions in our current Strategic Improvement Plan (SIP) include Student Growth and Attainment, Inclusive Learning Culture, and Innovative Learning Partnerships.

Specific Selection Criteria 1.Approval to teach special education and/or experience in teaching students with a mild to moderate intellectual disability, Physical Disability, Autism, and complex needs including mental health, emotional disturbance and behaviour difficulties.

2.Quality classroom practice and highly developed management skills which enhance student engagement through enriched, differentiated, and individualised learning programs.

3.Demonstrated capacity to contribute positively to the Support Unit Faculty and effectively collaborate to support the holistic development of students.

4.Excellent interpersonal skills that strengthen student, parent/carer relationships, including Aboriginal families.

Conditions An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
