Homebush Boys High School is a comprehensive Boys High School with an enrolment of 880 students. We have a proud tradition of strong academic achievement and excellence in the fields of sport, creative arts and many extracurricular activities. We are highly multicultural in nature, with over 92% of students identifying as having a language background other than English.

Specific Selection Criteria Approval to teach Engineering Studies and Technology Mandatory (Years 7 and 8) or preparedness to retrain via on–the job experience supported by the NSW Department of Education.

Well-developed interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Demonstrated capacity to implement effective classroom management strategies and deliver engaging, high-impact lessons that support and promote high expectations for all students, including HPGE learners, EAL/D students and those requiring learning support.

Demonstrated ability to design, plan and implement curriculum, including differentiated teaching and learning programs, assessment and resource development,



aimed at driving improved student learning outcomes.

Conditions An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.

Special Notes If applicable, engagement will be temporary until successful completion of the job experience (must be completed within 24 months).
