About the Role
- Manage day-to-day administrative operations, including report preparation and expenditure relating to supplies, equipment and services.
- Provide leadership, direction and management to the team, including providing backfill support and ensuring continuity of team operations when team members are on leave.
- Oversee staff training, supervision and development.
- Collect and analyse project data and prepare reports on project outcomes.
- Support the Executive Manager of Finance and Corporate Servies or delegate with financial matters and implement relevant decisions.
- Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile and balance accounts using manual and computerised systems.
- Compile financial and cost data to support operating budgets and profit and loss reporting.
- Coordinate year-end and grant acquittal audit activities, including financial reconciliations and supporting documentation.
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in a similar finance role, with the ability to lead and supervise a small finance team.
- Strong financial administration skills, including accounts payable, reconciliations, BAS, payroll and contract administration.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet strict deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy and organisation.
- Strong knowledge of accounting procedures, relevant awards and legislation, including end-of-month, end-of-financial-year and audit requirements.
Highly Desirable
- CPA or CA qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
