Theatre Registered Nurse – Stanthorpe, QLD | Hospital Contract
$70 per hour + super + penalties | Travel allowance & accommodation provided | 4-week contract opportunity

About the Role
As a Travel Theatre Registered Nurse at Stanthorpe Hospital, you will provide high-quality perioperative nursing care across multiple theatre disciplines. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support safe, efficient, and patient-centred surgical services while participating in the on-call roster as required.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care within the theatre environment
- Assist with Anaesthetic and PACU/Recovery nursing duties
- Scrub and scout for a variety of surgical procedures
- Support Day Surgery and Endoscopy services
- Perform cannulation and utilise advanced clinical assessment skills
- Respond effectively to patient deterioration and emergency situations
- Participate in the theatre on-call roster as required
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
- Work collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, nursing, and allied health teams

What you'll need
- Current AHPRA Registration (Registered Nurse)
- Recent Theatre nursing experience
- Demonstrated experience in Anaesthetics and PACU/Recovery
- Experience in Scrub/Scout nursing
- Experience within Day Surgery and/or Endoscopy settings
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
- Cannulation competency
- Willingness to participate in an on-call roster
- Australian working rights (contract role – no sponsorship available)

- Location: Stanthorpe Hospital, QLD
- Contract Dates: 28 September 2026 to 25 October 2026
- Hours: Up to 80 hours per fortnight
