We have partnered with a growing Australian renewable energy business to appoint a Darwin-based General Manager & Projects Manager.

About the Company
The business delivers renewable energy and power solutions across remote and regional Australia, with a growing presence across the Northern Territory and the wider Asia-Pacific region.

The business specialises in the delivery of solar, battery storage and hybrid energy systems, supporting remote communities, critical infrastructure, tourism, resources and other off-grid operations.

With a strong pipeline of projects, the Darwin operation is entering an exciting phase of growth and requires an experienced leader to take ownership of the local operation and project delivery function.

The Role
The Darwin GM & Projects Manager will lead the day-to-day Darwin operation while managing the delivery of allocated renewable energy projects from planning through to completion.

Role Responsibilities

- Lead the day-to-day operation of the Darwin office and workshop
- Manage projects from planning through to completion
- Take ownership of safety, quality, cost, schedule and client outcomes
- Coordinate suppliers, subcontractors, equipment, resources and remote site logistics
- Support engineering, design, procurement, construction and commissioning activities
- Manage client and stakeholder relationships
- Identify new opportunities and support tenders and business development
- Support the ongoing growth and development of the Darwin operation





About You
We’re looking for an experienced project or operations leader with a background across areas such as renewable energy, electrical projects, engineering, construction, infrastructure, mining, resources, remote operations or major project delivery.

- Experience managing projects from planning through to completion
- Strong operational and project management experience
- Experience coordinating contractors, suppliers and multidisciplinary teams
- Robust commercial awareness and understanding of project costs and schedules
- Ability to perform under pressure and make sound decisions
- Practical, hands-on leadership style
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and keep projects moving
- Experience working in remote or regional environments will be highly regarded
