Lead Project Engineer

Working with a dynamic, Perth-based engineering consultancy, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Lead Project Engineer to join an owner's team delivering gold projects from study through to commissioning.

ABOUT THE ROLE
In this site-based position, you will support the Project Manager in successfully delivering multi-disciplinary mining projects on budget, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

- Project Execution: Provide in office construction support, resolve technical/design issues, and manage project planning and reporting.
- Contracts & Packages: Prepare, evaluate, and award tender and contractor packages.
- Vendor & Interface Management: Monitor performance and manage interfaces across vendors, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Engineering Standards: Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project scopes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise directly with client-side and site stakeholders on technical and delivery aspects.

ABOUT YOU

- Technical Experience: Strong Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI) background is essential (HV/LV workshops, bore-field services, offices, changerooms). Experience with TSFs and Bulk Earthworks is highly favourable
- Qualifications: Recognised Engineering Degree (Civil/Mechanical or suitable equivalent)
- Industry Background: Essential experience in the WA mining/resources sector.




- Site Compliance: Schedule 26 (S26) Statutory Supervisor qualification is highly regarded
- Commercial Capability: Proven estimating, tendering, risk mitigation, and package management experience with cost and schedule accountability
- Safety Leadership: Solid understanding and active practice of workplace health and safety protocols.
