Role Purpose

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical systems, machinery, and processes. The role ensures that engineering solutions are safe, efficient, and compliant with industry standards, while supporting the company’s operational and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and Development: Create, test, and refine mechanical systems, components, and equipment using CAD and engineering analysis tools.
- Project Planning: Prepare specifications, cost estimates, and schedules for mechanical engineering projects.
- Installation & Commissioning: Oversee the assembly, installation, and commissioning of mechanical plant, machinery, and equipment.




- Maintenance & Performance: Monitor mechanical systems, diagnose faults, and implement corrective actions to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all mechanical designs and operations comply with Australian Standards, workplace safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance sustainability in mechanical processes.
- Collaboration: Work with multidisciplinary teams including civil engineers, electrical engineers, and project managers to deliver integrated solutions.

What We Are Looking For (Requirements)

Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Postgraduate study or professional accreditation may be considered an advantage.

Experience:

- 1–2 years of relevant industry experience in mechanical engineering, design, or maintenance.
- Exposure to project work, equipment installation, or process improvement is desirable.

Core Skills:

- Ability to apply engineering principles to the design, development, and maintenance of mechanical systems.
- General knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and safety standards.
