Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Cartage Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The Cartage Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the timely, accurate and productive delivery of all transport deliveries to our customers. This role requires strong communication skills to develop relationships with our carriers and customers, ensuring to deliver exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Communication

- Answer emails and calls promptly and professionally, serving as the trusted liaison between clients, site managers, and transport staff.

- Keep all stakeholders up-to-date with delivery ETAs and site access, ensuring clarity and confidence.

Planning and Scheduling

- Daily Scheduling: Plan and coordinate freight runs, aligning driver and subcontractor movements for on-time delivery.

- Scheduling Alignment: Ensure all activities are in line with Mondiale VGL Fleet requirements.

Operations and Execution

- Shipment Management:



Organise inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery.

- Container Management: Monitor and follow up empty container status; handle DAWR containers as required.

- Documentation and Systems: Process freight paperwork, maintain the Transport Management System (TMS), and manage delivery confirmations (PODs).

Compliance and Risk

- Customs Awareness: Stay updated on customs compliance changes and relevant regulatory requirements.

- Safety and Welfare: Support driver welfare and align with heavy vehicle fatigue and safety standards.

Continuous Improvement

- Process Efficiency: Work with the team to ensure smooth processes and identify opportunities to reduce transport costs and improve margins.

- Service Excellence: Maintain a high standard of customer service across all interactions.
