Hobart | Earworx National Call Centre

Health Professionals and Support Services Award 2020 SSE Level 4 - $28.46per hour plus 12% superannuation and bonus scheme.

This role is anticipated to commence ASAP.

About the Role

We are seeking a medical call centre operator/receptionist to support our Hobart head office and clinic.

This role is for 2 separate positions; part-time position and casual position.
Hours will vary depending on business needs, staff leave and busy periods. We’re looking for someone who can offer flexibility and availability when additional shifts are available.

As one of the “voices of Earworx”, you will create positive first impressions for patients across Australia. You’ll engage with patients over the phone, via email, and in person, ensuring every interaction reflects the Earworx values and behaviours.

Our Values – The Earworx Way

The Earworx Way defines how we show up and treat each other every day – our patients, our colleagues and our communities. It is our shared commitment to safe, consistent, gold-standard care delivered with professionalism, connection and a mindset of continuous improvement.

Excellence & Professionalism

We deliver safe, consistent, gold-standard care. We uphold professional standards, stay systems focused, prepare ahead and are accountable for our own performance. We respect the time of our patients, colleagues and referrers.

Connection & Communication

We communicate clearly, proactively, respectfully and often. We show we value each other by always getting back.

Our written communication is clear and warm, and we prioritise real conversations to build stronger connections.

We welcome change as an opportunity to grow – remaining open-minded, curious and committed to improving how we support our patients and each other. We look for opportunities to over-deliver for our colleagues, our patients and our referrers. We act on feedback promptly and, where needed, roll our sleeves up and do what needs to be done for our patients and the business.

Your Role Will Include

- Answer incoming calls and make accurate patient bookings.
- Provide friendly and professional front-desk reception support.
- Communicate with patients, referrers and colleagues by phone, email and in person.
- Support our Registered Nurses, Senior Leadership Team and administration team to keep our clinics running smoothly.
- Use multiple computer systems confidently and follow booking procedures and systems.
- Prepare clinic rooms and support basic instrument cleaning and infection control tasks.

About You

You may be a student looking for flexible schedule, someone with healthcare or administration experience, or simply someone who loves working with people and is ready to learn. What matters most is how you show up.

You are friendly, positive and genuinely enjoy helping people.

You communicate confidently and professionally,

both verbally and in writing.

You are organised, reliable and take pride in getting things right.

You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing competing priorities.

You are confident learning and using multiple computer systems.

You are open to feedback, willing to learn and committed to continuous improvement.

You are happy to pitch in and support your teammates – no task is considered beneath you.

You are patient-focused and understand the importance of creating a positive experience at every interaction.

About Us

- High-quality training and support.
- Flexible casual hours that can vary according to business needs and your availability.

- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to follow scripts, booking procedures, systems and checklists.
- Willingness to assist with clinic cleaning and infection control tasks.
- Team-focused mindset and willingness to support others.
