Earn while you learn, combining paid work with structured training to develop practical, in-demand skills for a career in civil construction.
You’ll receive hands‑on experience and comprehensive training while working towards a nationally recognised qualification, no previous experience is required.

This Electrical Apprenticeship program will be based in Tweed Heads , commencing in March 2027, an exciting opportunity to launch your career with Transport for NSW!
You are an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or an Australian permanent resident
You have completed Year 10 or hold a Record of School Achievement (RoSA) or equivalent
You are ready to commence full-time employment in March 2027
You hold, or are in the process of obtaining, a C Class driver licence
You have access to reliable transport to travel to the office or depot
You are comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, or near live traffic as required
You are willing to travel as part of your role
You have basic computer literacy skills
You demonstrate teamwork and maintain a positive, accountable approach in all you do
You take pride in consistently delivering your best across school, work, and personal life
You proactively seek opportunities to learn, grow, and take on current challenges
You manage your time effectively and stay organised to meet your commitments
What’s on Offer?
4 year fixed-term, full-time Apprenticeship
Certificate III in Electrotechnology through structured in person classes at TAFE
Practical, on-the-job experience to apply what you learn
Development of key workplace skills including effective communication, teamwork, and problem solving
Clear career pathways and professional growth opportunities
Rates of pay are dependent on age at commencement. The rates listed below are effective from 1 July 2026.
Under 21 years of age (as at commencement date) $677.30 per week
21 years of age or over (as at commencement date) $1,267.80 per week

This is an in-person, on-site role.
Recruitment Timeline:
To support a smooth and efficient hiring process, below is an overview of the anticipated recruitment timeline.
Once applications close, the Talent team will review all submissions for shortlisting.
A virtual information session will be held for shortlisted candidates only on Tuesday 24 November at 4:00 PM and Friday 27 November at 10:00 AM. Shortlisted candidates will receive an email invitation and are required to attend one of the sessions.
Face-to-face interviews will take place between 13 January and 29 January 2027.
Candidates that meet requirements at interview will progress to pre-employment checks.
A talent pool may be created for future roles over the next 18 months. If you are assessed as suitable and a vacancy becomes available, you may be contacted to complete pre-employment checks.
