This Traineeship offers you the perfect gateway into the world of Tourism and Visitor Economy, supporting the delivery of visitor servicing, reservations, sales and tourism activities across our Visitor Information Centre, Beachside Holiday Parks, and the Port Stephens Koala Sancutary.

The role will provide you with practical workplace experience across a range of tourism functions, helping you develop your skills and knowledge in customer service, destination and product knowledge, visitor information, reservations and sales.

Whilst We Can’t Guarantee a Permanent Position Post-traineeship, This Is What a Career Path Could Look Like With a Certificate III Tourism Behind You

- Guest Experience Officer
- Sales & Reservations Officer
- Visitor Experience Officer
- Guest Experience Team Leader
- Assistant Park Manager

The key responsibilities within this role are listed within the position description.

- This is a contract opportunity – working full time 38 hours / week + access to a flexible working arrangement + access to study leave to attend courses at your formal education provider during work hours.
- Base Salary Range: $37,574 to $57,438 pa based on 35 hours / week + 12% superannuation + $2,562 retention allowance
- You will be working from Port Stephens Koala Sanctuary and rotating between our Beachside Holiday Parks and Visitor Information Centre within the Port Stephens area

- Commitment to the completion of a Certificate III in Toursim
- Ability to work in a busy environment
- Class C Driver’s License or access to reliable transport for attendance at both work and external training providers
