We are looking for an experienced individual who will work closely with our Operations Manager, providing additional operational management capacity and local oversight. The role will provide the critical local oversight required to maintain operational quality, manage exceptions and protect the customer experience, with a primary focus on non-AWS operations. Key responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

- Supporting Operations Manager with operational management and resource coordination.
- Providing local oversight of the Melbourne operational teams, including local and LSG resources.
- Managing operational exceptions and ensuring timely resolution.
- Coordinating delivery execution and customer service relating to deliveries.
- Managing transport and operational vendors.
- Supporting the Commercial team with customer service and delivery-related matters.
- Ensuring operational processes and SOPs are followed.
- Supporting operational performance and service delivery.





Skills and Attributes

POSITION SPECIFIC SKILLS

- At least 5 years Freight Forwarding experience
- Experience in a supervisory/team leader role
- Experience with (e.g. EDI/ICS/Excel) preferred
- Experience with all Import/Export Air/Ocean an advantage
- Oil and gas/project vertical experience in freight forwarding an advantage
- Proficient (or ability to become proficient) with Crane Worldwide systems (PO Management, Kewill, C-View, etc)
