- Preparation and positioning of truck, plant, attachments and accessories required to undertake specified civil construction duties
- Undertake truck driving, plant and water truck duties associated with civil construction activities
- Pre-start checks for all equipment to be operated during your shift thoroughly
- Observe and report equipment or mechanical defects immediately to your supervisor before operation or upon notification
- Maintain the truck, plant attachments and accessories given to perform the role are in a clean and well-presented condition.
- Transportation of plant, equipment and materials, including the loading, unloading and securing of plant, equipment and materials as required, ensuring the stability of their load regardless of the type of truck, journey or load in accordance with the regulatory authorities rules and regulations.
- Undertake general labouring duties associated with the maintenance and construction of roads, paved areas, pipework’s, earthworks and other civil construction activities
- Ensure compliance with regulatory authorities rules governing logbooks, breaks, work hours, speed limits, load limits and etc.





- Current Heavy Combination or Multi-Combination Drivers Licence
- Previous experience operating trucking the in civil construction industry
- Capacity to undertake multiple driving tasks involved in road construction
- An understanding of floating machinery and experience with loading and unloading
- Spreader truck & walking floor experience preferred but not essential
- Machinery tickets are well regarded but not essential.
- Committed to machinery maintenance and understanding the importance of a clean truck
- Knowledge of NHVR regulation and responsibilities
