Remuneration: $59.92 - $70.70 per hour

- Lead security services across the Westmead Hospital campus and selected community health centres.

- Work alongside clinical, corporate and operational teams in a complex, quick-paced environment.

What you'll be doing

As Security Manager, you will provide strategic direction and operational leadership for security services, ensuring they effectively support clinical care while meeting legislative, organisational, financial and quality requirements.

Key responsibilities will be to:

- Lead, coach and performance-manage security teams while ensuring staffing, rostering and resources align with operational needs.

- Develop and implement security strategies that respond to changing clinical and service requirements.

- Manage budgets, identify efficiencies and implement practical initiatives that improve service delivery and value.

- Drive compliance, risk management, quality improvement and workplace safety across Security Services.

- Partner with clinical and corporate services, including fire,



maintenance and other stakeholders, while monitoring security technology and systems to strengthen service provision.

What you'll bring

We're looking for a confident and credible security leader who can operate effectively in a complex organisation and build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.

You will bring

- 1A and 1C Security Licences under the NSW Security Industry Act 1997.

- A current Australian driver's licence and excellent driving record.

- Demonstrated leadership and people-management capability, including experience managing teams and resources.

- Extensive experience managing security operations and issues within a complex organisation.

- Robust communication, negotiation, influencing, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills.

- Experience with CCTV, security technology and Microsoft Office, together with the ability to analyse complex issues and develop practical recommendations.

- A strong commitment to WHS, compliance, quality improvement, ethical practice and continuous improvement.

Essential Criteria:

- License: 1A and 1C licence under the NSW Security Industry Act 1997 and a current drivers licence within Australia with a proven excellent driving record.

Selection Criteria:

1. Demonstrated superior leadership and team management skills, particularly in managing staff and resources,



to ensure provision of a high quality focused customer service.

2. Ability to present a credible and authoritative image to internal and external stakeholders.

3. Extensive experience in managing security issues within a complex organisation and strong interpersonal communication, negotiation, influencing and motivational skills which demonstrate a capacity to build and maintain relationships with a diverse stakeholder group.

4. Demonstrated ability to manage the development and monitoring of systems to ensure a secure workplace and compliance with WH&S; obligations and a commitment and capacity to implement, and provide leadership in government policies and practices, including EEO, cultural diversity, ethical practice and continuous improvement.

5. Proven ability to analyse and interpret complex business issues and prepare appropriate responses and recommendations.

6. Demonstrated high-level time-management skills and capacity to deliver high quality business correspondence and responses within agreed timeframes

7. Demonstrated proficiency in computer based security software including, CCTV monitoring & recording, Microsoft Office
