Our Head Office, based in Oakleigh, is looking for a motivated and experienced Accounts Officer to join our Finance team.
This is a hands on role covering both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, making it a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership of their work and likes being part of a supportive team setting.
Job Description Here’s a little bit about the role:
• Processing supplier invoices and ensuring accurate and timely payment
• Maintaining supplier accounts and account details
• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
• Managing Accounts Payable queries from suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Processing customer receipts and allocating payments
• Maintaining customer accounts and assisting with account reconciliations
• Following up outstanding accounts and supporting collection activities
• Investigating and resolving Accounts Receivable queries and discrepancies
• Assisting with bank and account reconciliations
• Supporting month end processes and reporting
• Extracting financial and statistical information as required
• Maintaining accurate financial records and data
• Providing general support to other members of the Finance team

• Proven experience across both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise in a deadline driven environment
• A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership of tasks
• The ability to work independently while also being a genuine team player
• Valuable interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Confidence learning and working across different computer and accounting systems
• A strong customer service focus and willingness to help wherever needed
