I'm working with an established supplier of architectural hardware and component-based building products used across residential and commercial projects in Sydney.
n
This is a customer-facing role where you'll be dealing with builders, trades, installers, shopfitters and other industry customers, helping them select products, prepare quotes and get orders out the door.
n
You'll also develop a strong understanding of a technical product range, with the opportunity to progress into external sales and account management.
n
What you'll be doing:
n
n
- Counter and phone sales to trade customers
n
- Preparing quotes and processing orders
n
- Helping customers select the right products
n
- Answering technical product enquiries
n
- Dealing with builders, installers and trades
n
- Working with warehouse and internal sales teams
n
- Building product knowledge and customer relationships
n
n
Who I'd like to speak with:
n
You could be coming from:
n
n
- Trade counter or technical sales
n
- Doors, windows, cabinetry or joinery
n
- Building supplies or construction products
n
- Locksmithing
n
- Building or carpentry and looking to get off the tools
n
- Architecture or design and looking to move into sales
n
- Another technical building product environment
n
n
You don't need architectural hardware experience.
n
What matters more is that you understand how the building industry works, are comfortable dealing with trades and customers, and have the ability and interest to learn technical products.
n
What's on offer:
n
n
- $75K–$95K + Super + Bonus
n
- Monday–Friday role
n
- Strong product training
n
- Established business and customer base
n
- Technical architectural product range
n
- Genuine pathway into external sales / account management
n
n
This could be a particularly valuable move for someone who has spent their career on the tools and is ready for a change, or an existing trade salesperson looking to build a career in architectural sales.
n
About me:
n
I'm David Hamilton, a Registered Architect (NSW Reg No. 11571) who moved into specialist Architectural Sales Recruitment.
n
Having worked in architecture and now recruiting across architectural and building product sales, I understand both sides of the conversation — the products, the people using them and what makes someone successful in sales.
n
If you think your background could fit, I'd be happy to have a confidential conversation.
n
*All applications will be treated in the strictest confidence.
