Bridge IT is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Integration Engineer to support a large Federal Government workplace in Canberra. This is a senior, hands-on technical engineering role working across complex and interconnected ICT environments. The successful candidate will support system integration, testing, configuration and technical assurance while providing high-level engineering advice to key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Engineer, integrate and support complex enterprise ICT systems and environments.
n
- Apply systems and software engineering practices across requirements analysis, interface management, configuration control and validation.
n
- Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshoot complex system integration issues.
n
- Support technical integration testing, Test & Evaluation (T&E;), acceptance testing and risk reduction activities.
n
- Maintain system configurations, architecture documentation and technical artefacts.
n
- Assess dependencies and the impact of changes across interconnected applications, networks and platforms.
n
- Provide senior technical advice and collaborate with ICT, project, security and technical stakeholders.
n
- Support the ongoing security, interoperability and reliability of complex ICT environments.
n

To be successful, you will have:

n

n
- Significant experience as a Senior Systems Engineer,



Systems Integration Engineer or similar technical specialist.
n
- Demonstrated experience integrating and supporting complex enterprise applications, infrastructure and information systems.
n
- Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, IP addressing, routing, DNS, DHCP and network segmentation.
n
- Experience across systems integration, configuration management, testing and validation.
n
- Experience implementing or assessing security controls aligned with the ISM and Essential Eight.
n
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
n
- The ability to operate autonomously and provide authoritative technical advice to senior stakeholders.
n
- A current NV2 security clearance.
n

Highly Desirable

n

- Complex secure Government ICT environments.
n
- Active Directory, Group Policy, PKI and identity/access management.
n
- Windows desktop and server Standard Operating Environments (SOEs).
n
- PowerShell, Bash, Python or similar scripting and automation technologies.
n
- System-of-systems engineering and complex interface management.
n
- Technical integration testing, T&E;, trials or risk reduction activities.
n
- XMPP Chat, mail relay, proxy or voice/telephony services.
n
- Hardware and software configuration management and baseline control.
n
- System architecture and interface control documentation.
n
- Formal Systems Engineering qualifications or equivalent experience.
n
