Senior Frontend Engineer – Vue.js / TypeScript

We are working with a growing technology business that is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join their engineering team and play a key role in the continued development of a complex, browser-based application.

n

You'll work primarily with Vue.js 3 and TypeScript, building highly interactive, data-intensive user experiences while contributing to frontend architecture, performance, testing and engineering standards.

n

This is a hands‐on senior role suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership of features from concept through to production and is comfortable making technical decisions in a fast-moving environment.

What You'll Be Working On

n

- Building complex, interactive frontend experiences using Vue.js and TypeScript.
n
- Developing and maintaining a large-scale single-page application.
n
- Designing scalable component architectures and state management solutions.
n
- Working with APIs, asynchronous data, caching and client-side persistence.
n
- Improving application performance, reliability and overall user experience.
n
- Building secure, robust frontend solutions with a strong focus on data protection.
n
- Collaborating with backend engineers where features require full-stack involvement.
n
- Contributing to the adoption of AI-assisted development practices and tools.
n
- Helping shape technical standards, development practices and frontend architecture.

What You'll Do

- Own significant frontend features from requirements through to production.
n
- Make pragmatic architectural decisions and clearly communicate technical trade-offs.
n
- Write maintainable, well-tested and scalable code.
n
- Contribute to code reviews and raise engineering quality standards.
n
- Mentor other engineers and provide technical guidance across the team.
n
- Work closely with Product, Design and Engineering stakeholders.
n
- Identify opportunities to improve application performance and reliability.
n
- Take ownership of technical problems and drive solutions independently.

About You

n

We're looking for a senior frontend engineer who brings solid commercial experience with Vue.js 3 and TypeScript and has a proven track record working on complex web applications.
n You'll ideally have:

n

- Strong commercial experience with Vue.js and TypeScript.
n
- Experience building complex, stateful single-page applications.
n
- Strong understanding of component architecture and state management.
n
- Experience with API integration, asynchronous data, and client-side storage.
n
- A strong understanding of frontend performance and optimisation.
n
- A security-conscious approach to frontend development.
n
- Strong testing and code quality practices.
n
- The ability to work autonomously and take ownership of technical outcomes.
n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Copilot or Claude Code.
