Our client is a specialist Project Management Consultancy with a strong track record delivering complex, high-value projects across the data centre and mission-critical sectors.

With continued growth across the Australian data centre market, the business is expanding its project delivery team and is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join its Sydney operation.

n

The successful candidate will work closely with leading data centre operators, developers, investors, contractors and specialist consultants, managing projects through the full development and delivery lifecycle.

n

As Senior Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of major data centre projects, providing strategic project leadership across design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.

n

You will operate in a client-facing environment, working closely with senior stakeholders while leading project teams and coordinating multiple consultants and contractors.

n

Key responsibilities will include:

n

- Lead the end-to-end delivery of major data centre and mission-critical projects.
n
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing clear project leadership and strategic advice.
n
- Manage project scope, programme, budget, procurement, risk and quality.
n
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams across design and delivery.
n
- Manage tendering, procurement and contractor engagement.
n
- Oversee construction delivery and provide robust governance throughout the project lifecycle.
n
- Identify and manage project risks, issues,



variations and commercial considerations.
n
- Chair project meetings and provide explicit reporting to clients and senior stakeholders.
n
- Work closely with construction, engineering, commissioning and specialist services teams.
n
- Support clients through feasibility, design development, construction, commissioning and handover.
n
- Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with programme, budget and quality requirements.
n
- Mentor and develop Project Managers and more junior members of the team.
n
- Contribute to the continued growth and development of the consultancy's data centre offering.

About You

n

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager who has a strong understanding of complex construction projects and is keen to build their career within the rapidly growing data centre sector.

n

Ideally, you will have:

n

n
- 8+ years' experience in construction/project management.
n
- Proven experience delivering complex projects from a client-side or Project Management Consultancy environment.
n
- Data centre, mission-critical, high-tech, industrial or other technically complex project experience.
n
- Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle.
n




- Experience managing multidisciplinary consultants and major contractors.
n
- Strong commercial, contractual and financial management capability.
n
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
n
- The ability to operate confidently with clients, consultants, contractors and senior executives.
n
- Strong leadership and team management capability.
n
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, Property or a related discipline.
n

Data centre experience is highly desirable; however, candidates from other technically complex sectors may also be considered.
