We are seeking an Accredited Exercise Physiologistto join our team in Mackay, Queensland. This is a full time position offering plenty of opportunities to grow your clinical skills and knowledge and to make a meaningful impact on clients' health and wellbeing through evidence-based exercise interventions. As an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, you will play a vital role in our mission to improve physical function, manage chronic conditions, and enhance quality of life for our diverse client base.
This position is integral to delivering high-quality, skilled exercise physiology services that align with clinical best practice standards.
What we're looking for:
- Current accreditation with the Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist
- Strong knowledge of exercise prescription, physiology, anatomy and biomechanics relevant to clinical and community settings
- Experience delivering exercise interventions to clients with chronic diseases, musculoskeletal conditions, mental health conditions or other health challenges
- Proficiency in conducting fitness assessments and interpreting physiological test results
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate, motivate and build rapport with diverse client populations
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail in documentation
- Professional approach to client safety, duty of care and ethical practice standards
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Preferred:
experience working in multidisciplinary healthcare teams or allied health clinic environments
